We have an opportunity for a sales focused individual to join our award winning team at The Newton Agency. We are looking for somebody who is dedicated, ambitious, outgoing, coachable, has high integrity and wants a career. If you are this person our agency may be a perfect fit.

Salary plus extremely competitive monthly and annual commissions/bonuses geared to substantially reward those successful in this role!

Responsibilities

• Meet new business sales goals and objectives

• Prepare and present insurance quotes to potential customers

• Follow up on leads and cross-sell current customers

• Solicit for new business via phone and networking along with other activity

Qualifications Personal

• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills mandatory

• Must be at ease interacting new people in person and over the telephone

• Must be a competent, confident, self-starter

• Effective organization, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills are required

• Willingness to learn and be coachable

• Maintain an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude daily

• Able to create relationships from a cold start

Experience Connecticut Property & Casualty Insurance License PREFERRED

2+ years experience as Sales Representative or Customer Service Representative preferred, but not required.
