Registered Nurse RN/RMN/RGN

We currently have vacancy's across our three care homes for trained nurses. We are also a tier 2 sponsor so can offer sponsorship where needed.

To work as part of the care home Care Team:

  • Within the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Guidelines
  • Within the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety.
  • Within the Medicines Act 1968, the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, the Misuse of Drugs (Safe Custody) Regulations 1973 and the NMC guidelines for the administration of medicines.
  • Within the Company’s policies, procedures and documents contained in the ISO 2008 Quality Manual System

42 hours per week

Primary Purpose

Nursing

To provide and deliver:

  • A high standard of nursing care and support through the care and support planning process, and the implementation and evidence-based re-evaluation of individual resident’s needs.
  • A positive interaction with family and friends of the definitive, encouraging them to be actively involved in assessments, plans and reviews.
  • Proper administration and monitoring of drugs, dosages, times, routes and a proper record of the effects on the person to whom the drugs are administered.
  • An awareness of the existence and use of equipment within the home.
  • An awareness of emergency procedures pertaining to the resident group among the staff.
  • Proper monitoring of resident hygiene.

Managerial

  • Contributing to audit and quality monitoring.
  • Maintaining current risk analysis relating to individuals or the group of residents, and reporting issues to the Registered Manager.
  • Maintaining proper and accurate records regarding the residents and other home information as required.
  • Being knowledgeable regarding the whereabouts of all residents at all times.

Training.

  • Keeping up to date with recent nursing and care developments, attending relevant courses and coaching staff in all aspects of relevant care and support practices

Financial

  • Carrying out budget management duties vis-à-vis any budgets placed under your control.

Communications

  • Maintaining good relationships between the nursing and care staff and the hotel services staff and promoting cross-boundary working, thus developing professionalism and cohesion throughout the Home.
  • Attending and contributing to staff meetings.

Information

  • Being aware of and able to locate ISO policies, procedures and documents on the ISO intranet index relating to good working practices within the care home and ensuring staff are aware of them and apply them in their daily work.

Secondary Purpose

To undertake any other reasonable duties from time to time as may be requested by your line managers.

Travel

The Registered Nurse will be based at the office designated in the contract of employment, but is expected to travel between Company locations when required for the betterment of his/her duties. Company rules regarding expenses will apply.

Liaison

The Registered Nurse is authorised to liaise with such personas and bodies as may be required to discharge his/her duties.
