Automotive Parts Sales Manager, Plymouth

Franchised Auto Parts Department Hub in Plymouth looking for an experienced Parts Sales Manager


To build and develop a proactive sales team supporting the promotion of Franchised Parts Service within the region. To assist the Parts Director with the improved profit performance of the division within our Plymouth Branch.

Attributes required-

  • A proven record of achievement in automotive parts sales.
  • Previous experience in a sales management role is essential.
  • Experience with franchise portals would be beneficial.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to motivate a team.
  • A proactive approach with a strong work ethic.
  • High levels of tenacity and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities and Duties

Key Responsibilities-

  • Daily, proactive management of an internal and external sales team.
  • To also manage a small team of Parts Advisors.
  • To meet or exceed given growth targets on a consistent basis.
  • Analysis of daily, weekly and monthly reports to monitor and drive high productivity.
  • Conducting regular staff performance reviews and the enforcement of agreed objectives.
  • Regular analysis of account performance and identify areas for sales and profit improvement.
  • Ensure an acceptable level of customer service is being given/offered in all areas of the department.
  • Negotiation with suppliers.

Qualifications and Skills

  • MS Word Intermediate level
  • English and Math’s to a GCSE level 3 or equivalent
  • Full Driving licence
  • A Business diploma or equivalent on Motor Retail Management training would be desirable.


Basic £30k plus departmental bonus available (OTE around £40k+)
