SUMMARY:Repairs, calibrates, and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation used in health care delivery field by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Include the following and other duties that may be assigned by management. Responsible to disinfected, clean, and inspect all equipment for safety. To document appropriately actions taken with each piece of equipment. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling equipment. (ex. gloves, protective eye wear and gowns when appropriate to comply with universal precautions.)Provides repairs and maintenance for all types of home medical equipment. Maintains current records for all repairs and maintenance performed according to company policies. Maintains adequate inventory levels for repair parts and supplies. Assists other employees with equipment troubleshooting. Assists in training of new employees on the proper and safe repair and maintenance of all types of home medical equipment. Controls the receipt of gaseous oxygen from wholesale suppliers when applicable. Maintains current records in "Oxygen Log Book. "Performs routine and preventive equipment maintenance as required. Provides "on-call" services as specified by manager.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE:High school diploma of general education degree (GED); or one year of experience in Home Medical Equipment preferred and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
