Head of 'Culture & Team'

The Head of Culture & Team will oversee eKomi’s global employment brand to attract, develop and retain exceptional and diverse talents as the organisation continues to grow and enters new markets. Besides the traditional functions of HR, which center on people, process and policies, the Head of Culture & Team will additionally focus on building culture and facilitating an environment that enables the best possible work results.

The role will report to the CEO and be a member of the Leadership Team.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Leading eKomi’s further development in the field of ‘Culture and Team’;
  • Building up a staff culture rooted in trust, smartness and hard work to improve work results and employee retention;
  • Designing & organising of regular corporate events;
  • Supervising eKomi’s overall staff development and training;
  • Ensuring an A+ onboarding experience for all new hires and the successful impartation of eKomi’s core values;
  • Recruiting of international talents from all continents and cultures;
  • Facilitating and building relationships to mine new talent pools;
  • Leading change management efforts as they relate to human capital;


  • Successfully completed studies in psychology or in economics, ideally with a focus on Human Resources;
  • 8 years+ experience in a similar position, ideally gained in midsize organisations with international operations;
  • Empathetic person with high level of intercultural competence;
  • Capacity to see hidden potential in staff members and to coach or mentor them to realize their potential;
  • Knowledge that culture doesn’t equal happiness but that happiness can certainly be the by-product of a great culture;
  • Fluent proficiency in spoken and written German and English, additional languages as a plus
  • Strong business acumen and people acumen, and ability to influence business leaders at a managerial level around complex HR decisions;
  • Ability to mediate internal conflicts as necessary and create effective outcomes;
  • Strong vision setting and strategic thinking skills;
  • Excellent cross-group collaboration, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;

Other Must-have Skills

  • Very good organizational and execution skills, focus on detail;
  • Strong team player who can work independently;
  • Strong analytical mind and the ability to think for yourself;
  • You have an eye for detail and work rigorously;
  • Good knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint/Keynote;
  • Creative but results-driven;
  • You are a good person;
