2nd Shift Warehouse Distribution Team Leader / Supervisor

Position Summary: Warehouse Distribution Team Leader / Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the selection and stock members. In addition they will lend essential support and assistance to the shipping department. This position will report to the Warehouse Manager in our organization, and has varying hours according to operational business needs, to include occasional weekends as required, or as determined by Management along with after hour availability as needed.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Delivers training for both new and existing members of the Selection, Stock teams.
  • Oversees Order Selection and Package Stocking/Replenishment teams to ensure department success (monitors attendance, attends to team concerns, enforces policy, disciplines, staff meetings, and delivers updates and announcements) • Review order selection errors with various departments such as Customer Service, Compliance, Packing, etc. and submit order selection errors and or discrepancies to Customer Service.
  • Review internal procedures in effort to reduce errors such as mispulls or forgotten packages.
  • Monitor Order Console and Dashboard to verify all aged orders are pulled and expedited to billing and shipping processing on time.
  • Work closely with Compliance Department to implement policies and procedures
  • Attend all required training classes and abide by company policies and procedures
  • Point of contact for IT submissions and shipping computer issues
  • Back-up if department supervisor is not available
  • Maintain communication with Stockers and Replenishers to facilitate even package distribution and minimize packages not put away
  • Delegate all responsibilities for the department and delegate staff members accordingly in an effort to reduce hours and company cost
  • Exude exemplary customer service and consistently maintain a positive attitude
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Other assigned duties as required by management

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to speak and hear
  • Close and distance vision
  • Identify and distinguish colors
  • Frequent bending, reaching, climbing, crawling, kneeling
  • Frequent standing for long periods of time, along with walking for a distance of 10-13 miles daily on hard surfaces
  • Frequently lifts/carries minimum of 50 to 100 lbs.
  • Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
  • Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel, stoop or crouch repeatedly

Working Conditions:

  • The position operates in a transportation and inventory warehouse environment with associated distraction such as noise from telephones, keyboards, talking, systems, and other machinery and equipment
  • Warehouse fans are regulated by facilities management and are not within the direct control of the individual
  • Will be required to work near moving or mechanical equipment
  • Possible exposure to Hazmat materials
