To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Must have a bachelors in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline from an accredited college
Experience: 10+ years IT Security, conducting security control assessment of all NIST 800-53 controls
Certification(s) in information technology (i.e. CISSP), Certified Authorization Professional (CAP).
Thorough knowledge of NIST 800-53 security controls and required documentation
Technical understanding of security (understanding network diagrams, vulnerability and compliance scans)
Ability to conduct security control assessments based on a Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Must have experience conducting security control assessments based on RMF.
The Information Security Control Accessor Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the overall duties of the Security Control Accessors. The position will have functional knowledge in all areas of cybersecurity. The Information Security Control Accessor Engineer will also be responsible for conducting a comprehensive assessment of the management, operational, and technical security controls employed within or inherited by an Information System (IS) to determine the overall effectiveness of the controls (i.e., the extent to which the controls are implemented correctly, operating as intended, and producing the desired outcome with respect to meeting the security requirements for the system). They will provide an assessment of the severity of weaknesses or deficiencies discovered in the information system and its environment of operation and recommend corrective actions to address identified vulnerabilities.
