Customer Service Lead - Evenings

This is a Full Time position that requires availability to work Evenings and Weekends from 2:00 pm - 9:30 pm.

SUMMARY: The Customer Service Lead for Evenings is responsible for assisting customers in the store. The employee will help customers find requested items and answering questions in the supplement, haba and general store. The night lead prepares items for display, ensures shelves and end caps are adequately stocked and faced. The employee ensures that the store is always clean and ready for business operations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service.

- Help educate customers about our products and our store philosophy.

- Inform every customer of our loyalty program, in-store classes and events, customer rewards program (remember to ask customer if they have a rewards card at checkout).

- Ensure successful completion of all closing duties, delegating and following through at all times.

- Adhere to company return policy and register procedures to ensure consistent, fast, friendly service.

- Maintain high level of training and accountability with all night staff to ensure the above in every employee; keep register area clean at all times.

- Team with Store Manager to help grow sales in all departments store-wide; showing initiative in all aspects of operation and sales.

- Face the entire store, and replace it to a neat and clean appearance by closing.

- Mark down items going out of date for quick sale or demo; track all spoilage on company forms.

- Personally fulfill all cashier duties and set standard for fellow staff.

- Oversee all night staff duties and monitor tasks to ensure completion.

- Answer phone calls.

- Fill out all necessary daily sale paperwork accurately an in a timely manner.

- Attend mandatory monthly store meetings; bring staff concerns to Store Manager for meeting discussion.

- Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY : This position will supervise the evening staff in the absence of the Store Manager.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This position will primarily work evenings from 2:00 pm - 9:30 pm. Weekend availability, as well as availability throughout the weekdays is required.

TRAVEL : Local travel will be required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of grocery and/or retail experience. Knowledge of natural and organic foods preferred.
