Marketing / Community Coordinator

The Marketing / Community Coordinator is responsible for maintaining customer services, increasing overall store sales, coordinating with Marketing and Store departments on special events and promotions, and partner with Wellness team to grow sales in Wellness Department. This individual will need to have a high sales focus, ability to create excitement in store departments, and generate overall store sales.


- Coordinate gift baskets, maintain sandwich boards and sign drawings, as well as managing local Wine Demos

- Manage GreenAcres App, troubleshoot and handle all questions

- Support newsletter marketing efforts in-store

- Handle all marketing, Public relations, and community outreach

- Cross-market Wellness department to Deli lunch crowd by running Demos, and coordinating samples, etc.

- Help establish GreenAcres as an education and entertainment leader in the community

- Organize DIY Events, attend health tours, community events, and partner with Briarcliff Village on special events

- Act as a back-up for Supplements and HABA.

- Work with the central Demo and Marketing Departments to increase awareness of Supplements/HABA products.

- Organize and execute Demo program; manage the Demo team, schedule and execute Demos, including Supplement and HABA Demos.

- Reach out to community to build catering client contacts.

- Gather samples and demos for events, and coordinate with store team to excite them about events/classes.

- Assist with performing in-store Supplements/HABA Demos to increase department sales.

- Lead community outreach to build relationships and work with event planner and Marketing manager to expand community awareness of our store

- Invite groups to visit store for lunches and relationship building

- Give at least one store tour per month.

- Participate in outside community events and educational opportunities.

- Answer all general store phone calls

- Attend mandatory monthly store meetings, and participate in weekly Marketing calls

- Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service

- Help educate customers about our products and our store philosophy.

Inform every customer of our loyalty program, in-store classes and events, customer rewards program (remember to ask customer if they have a rewards card at checkout).

- Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY : This position will lead and organize the Demo Associates.

WORK ENVIRONMENT : This job operates in a retail environment with merchandise displays and items available for purchase in inventory.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK : This position will be Full Time. Standard days and hours of availability are Monday through Sunday, typically between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. This position could require working evening, weekend and holiday hours.

TRAVEL : Local travel will be required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE : A high school diploma and at least 1 years of grocery and/or retail experience required. Knowledge of natural and organic foods preferred. Marketing and public relations experience working with community outreach programs is highly desired. A liquor license is required to be obtained within 30 days of employment
