Position Title : Heavenly Asian Cuisine & Lounge Server

Report to : Shift Supervisor

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the server is to interact with our guests and delivering an outstanding guest experience. The goal is to maximize sales and revenue through guest satisfaction.

Compensation includes :

1. Base salary: $5.50 - $6.50 depending on the experience

Responsibilities

  • staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items...etc. 
  • presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing guests about food preparation details, communicating specific guest needs to the chef. 
  • check identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age 
  • maintaining excellent dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling guest needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses. 
  • properly open and pour wine at the tableside. 
  • performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by General Manager. 
  • filling in for absent staff as needed. 
  • assisting with special events as needed. 
  • greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting. 
  • adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently. 
  • must have some familiarity with the dishes offered on the menu. 
  • respond promptly to requests from guests in a polite and professional fashion 
  • process transactions using the POS system 
  • prepare checks for guests 
  • process guest payments 
  • comply with all health, safety and hygiene standards and policies 
  • balance the cash register at the start and close of each shift

Skills and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma preferred 
  • numeracy and cash-handling skills 
  • food safety training & English/Chinese Mandarin skills will be considered a plus 
  • able to work flexible schedule 
  • able to work in a standing position for long periods 
  • be able to reach and bend and frequently lift up to 50 pound 
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays and varied hours.
