Overview:
Jukes Insurance Brokers are seeking a Commercial Account Executive, or Handler with the potential and desire to develop, to join their expanding Commercial team.
The position requires a good understanding of commercial insurance risks across the whole spectrum of commercial lines.
Relationship building and building rapport with both current and potential clients are critical to the role, both in person, over the phone and via email, therefore you will need first class service skills and high attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will be skilled at developing business opportunities both with current and potential clients.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy, efficiency and professionalism when dealing with both clients and insurers and conducting related administration work, including but not limited to:
- New business
- Renewals
- Mid Term Adjustments
- Claims
- Queries
- Premium financing arrangements
- Achieve and maintain a high level of customer service and promote exceptional customer care standards at all times.
- Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with all clients and provide expert product advice and guidance
- Actively secure renewal business by re-broking existing business to ensure the client is presented with the most suitable and cost effective cover.
- Develop new business opportunities both through the current client base, warm leads, and developing your own network of business contacts that present an opportunity for further business.
- Ensure all business activity fully complies with FCA regulation and company procedures as detailed in the compliance manual – use checklists and support documentation as provided by the company to assist with demonstrating compliance.
- Handle any complaints in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct learning, training and assessment exercises in accordance with the individual T&C scheme applicable to you. Identify further areas for own development as required.
- Promote and increase the use of in house premium finance, from insurer schemes.
- Support development of others where required.
Person specification:
- Working knowledge of most commercial insurance products
- Experience of working as an Account Handler in a similar broking environment
- Experience of working to high standards of FCA compliance
- Attention to detail
- Confident communicator
- Able to build strong relationships with e.g. clients, insurers etc
- I.T. skills including use of an insurance IT system e.g. Acturis, Open GI and Microsoft products
- Cert CII qualified or willingness to work towards Cert CII
Further Details:
- The position is full-time, with standard hours being 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, including 45 minute lunch break. Applications from those requiring flexibility with those hours are encouraged.
