New Directions Housing Corporation is looking for a qualified staff to help our organization make a difference in the lives of our residents and our community.
New Directions Housing Corporation (“New Directions”), was created in 1971 as a non-profit to develop and maintain affordable housing in the Louisville area. It has grown to provide rental housing to 1037 households, offer four learning centers for after-school care and three adult centers for our senior population, and have a yearlong repair program to help seniors and disabled people stay comfortably in their own homes. New Directions provides community support in the neighborhoods it serves and has several community gardens as well as regular Neighborhood Roundtables, which are meetings of grassroots neighborhood leaders. St. Benedict Center for Early Childhood Education (“St. Benedict”) serves children from the age of six-weeks to 12-years on a full-time basis and became affiliated with New Directions in 2016.
Together, New Directions and St. Benedicts have almost 100 employees. New Directions has been rated an “Exemplary Organization” by NeighborWorks America, a national congressionally chartered funding and training entity. New Directions and St. Benedict Center are accredited by the Better Business Bureau and are a Metro United Way agency.
