Administrative Assistant

Pacific Mechanical Systems Ltd. is a full mechanical contractor located in Burnaby, BC, operating throughout the lower mainland. We have been in business for 16 years and are proud of the family atmosphere in our mid-sized company. We work in the commercial and industrial sector.

We are currently looking for an Administrative Assistant for our billing department available to start work between now and January 2.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide administrative support to the accounting department
  • Review job files for correct work orders and material invoices
  • Prepare, verify, and process invoices
  • Maintain listing of accounts receivable
  • Maintain updated vendor files and file numbers
  • Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues
  • Maintain a filing system for all financial documents
  • Prepare documents and reports on the computer
  • Maintain inventory files

Qualifications :

  • Good verbal and written communication skills essential
  • Computer skills, including the ability to operate spreadsheet and word-processing programs
  • Effective problem solver
  • Must be accurate, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Bookkeeping or accounting courses an asset
  • Knowledge of Sage 100 accounting considered an asset

This position is ideal for recently graduated or junior professionals to build their experience while learning procedures from an established company.
