Sales Development Field Rep Summer Student Position

The Field Representatives will be sales superstars who will help us develop and grow the profile and business programs of the Flamingo.

We sell event space. We sell tickets. We sell liquor. Sound interesting? These positions offer a base salary plus commission for growing our client base in both the corporate and consumer markets.

This position offers flexibility for a new generation of event planners to book and market their own events and/or reach out to new contacts to sell our services.

Every generation requires its own impresarios to curate and deliver the next batch of cultural mavens to the masses. It’s the hardest job in the world...but being a tastemaker has never been easy.

This position is open to individuals who were enrolled full time in school in the last academic year and plan to return full time in the fall.

Who we are:

The Flamingo is a series of 3 event venues and a liquor store on one site located in the heart of Whalley close to the Gateway Village Skytrain.

The Flamingo is now being managed by a national arts charity known as the Penmar Community Arts Society, an organization that fosters the development of live music and the arts in communities outside major metropolitan centers.

Our task - to make Whalley cool, friendly and fun for the diverse community that surrounds it.

We are hiring Summer Students to help us develop and grow the profile and business programs of the Flamingo.

Who is eligible:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria under the Canada Summer Jobs Program:

  • Be between the ages of 15 and 30 years at the start of employment;
  • Have been registered as a full time student in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full time basis in the next academic year;
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.

Must be 19+ , were registered as a full time student last year and intend to return to school full time in the fall.

$15/hour 30 hours/week 6 week position
