Project Manager for Event Exhibition

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for the overall revenue, profitability, quality and growth of the assigned industry or shows
  • Drive the revenue and sales, including square meter, sponsorships and other revenues
  • Manage cost and margin
  • Develop the business, including launching of new shows and partnerships/acquisitions
  • Responsible for the team performance and development
  • Strategize, position and grow the show to be a premier show in the region
  • Conduct business development activities including research, study, plan, coordinate, and execute the launch of new shows segments
  • Drive the strategic and business planning for the assigned industry or shows and be responsible for the successful implementation of the approved strategy & plans
  • Accountable for meeting the business and financial targets, including managing the profitability of the assigned shows
  • Achieve revenue targets by driving exhibition square meters (sqm), conference sales, sponsorships and e-revenue and implementing creative marketing opportunities to increase the revenue streams
  • Develop, prepare and maintain exhibitor prospect list and sales leads, retaining existing customers and devising new ways to bring in new ones across various segments as targeted by the company
  • Market and sell the show at competitive shows where required
  • Proactive and keep abreast of competitive environment and work co-operatively with industry groups, embassies, functional groups and associations as they are key to the success of the shows
  • Understand the target visitor ship profile and work with the marketer to strategize on developing strong visitor relationship management (VRM) programs
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports and presentations
  • Responsible for floor plan management and audits, vendors, suppliers, contract and payment collections and all the necessary show administration
  • Provide strong project management and leadership to the team, holding regular team meetings and communication
  • Manage and develop the team members who are assigned to you

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a degree in any discipline with at least 5 years of relevant B2B exhibition management experience
  • Strategic mind, strong leadership and project management abilities
  • Strong in both sales and marketing
  • Hunger and passion for the industry, result orientated, and energetic
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • A team builder with good people skill
  • Good command of both verbal and written English language
  • Organized, resourceful and creative
