Data Integrity Specialist

Job Summary

This positions primary focus and essential function is maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the company's product item data by ensuring all of Company’s items are accurately set up and maintained in our ERP (Epicor) software’s Master Item Catalog and Online Catalog. This role requires the ability to manipulate product files from existing sources, create data templates, import files and coordinate with the Purchasing Team to report missing or corrupt data. The ideal candidate will have an affinity for organizing data and information in ways that are logical and useful and have keen attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities and Duties

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accuracy of supplier pricing information in Epicor P21 thru uploading of supplier catalogs, conversion of supplier excel spreadsheets, developing excel spreadsheet from PDF’s, and performing routine maintenance and updates*
  • Function as a liaison with purchasing, operations and accounting to ensure that new items are accurately setup and existing items are properly maintained.* *
  • Responsible for documenting and maintaining master files by supplier of all pricing information, frequency of price changes, and steps required to perform update.*
  • Create excel spreadsheets (templates) for each supplier to more easily transform the information given by each supplier to prepare for upload.
  • Communicate to users when supplier’s pricing is updated.*
  • Responsible for the accuracy of item descriptions, UOM, conversions, product group ID’s, short codes, and supplier price and cost.* *
  • Decipher and transform information for uploading to Epicor P21 database and B2B catalog.* *
  • Review database and ensure accuracy of all product data in item maintenance and item catalog.* *
  • Coordinate closely with buyers regarding supplier price file changes and part number changes.* *
  • Collaborate with internal data owners to resolve issues with missing product attributes.* *
  • Create, organize, maintain, and ensure accuracy of Items in the B2B Online catalog.* *
  • Coordinate closely with operations, marketing , and sales to ensure that new items are added and inactive items are removed from the B2B catalog.* *
  • Online Catalog point of contact for item data.* *
  • Collect and post images and specifications for items on the B2B catalog.* *
  • Monitor and take action for new items.* *
  • Accurate Data Entry.*

Qualifications and Skills


  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills including calculating percentages and discounts
  • Database maintenance experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Applications: Intermediate Excel skills to include formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and conditional formatting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work within a team based environment
  • Able to work under pressure of time constraints and maintain/produce accurate records while providing a high level of service.
  • Excellent follow through and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently organizing and prioritizing work to meet deadlines
  • Good teamwork and cross-departmental collaboration
  • Extremely accurate data-entry skills


  • Experience with P21
  • 2 year degree
