Medical Assistant w/ Cardiovascular Technology Instructor (AM and/or PM)

Vatterott College has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Assistant with Cardiovascular Technology Instructor. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and instruction of curriculum to students to prepare them for a career in the medical assisting field.


1. Provide related instruction and supervise student training in the Medical Assistant field, with an emphasis on Cardiovascular studies.

2. Prepare class syllabus, outline and daily lesson plans as required. Provide course syllabus and outline to students on the first day of class. Maintain and ensure consistency between the course catalog and the daily lesson plans.

3. Prepare and administer examinations, student projects, and other teaching aids needed to fulfill objectives of program. Set up classroom, lab, equipment, projects, assignments, etc. in preparation for each new phase or class start.

4. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, progress of students, and report the same in a timely manner to manager.

5. Maintain clean, effective, and professional learning environment.6. Attend all scheduled in-service activities and meetings, and complete all scheduled/assigned activities in support of the individual faculty development plan.

7. Communicate budget needs to Campus Management on a timely basis.

8. Tutor and conduct conferences with students.

9. Maintain discipline and enforce school rules and regulations.

10. Assist with library research needs and information gathering, and make textbooks recommendations.

11. Participate in committees, graduation ceremonies and other school events.

12. Complete administrative duties and other projects as assigned.

13. Have regular and consistent attendance.


  • This position requires 3+ years of experience in the medical assisting in the cardiovascular technology field. An Associate's Degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Teaching experience is a plus.
  • The position also requires personal computer skills (Microsoft Office, inclusive of Word, Excel, and Outlook). Excellent spelling and grammar skills with the ability to communicate in a courteous, tactful and concise manner, is essential.
