L'Ecole Culinaire has an excellent opportunity for a Career Services/Learning Resource Center Coordinator. This position is responsibility is assisting graduates find training-related employment and overseeing the Learning Resource Center (LRC). This position provides assistance through student training, and meeting placement standards provided by ACCSC for each program the Campus offers. In addition, this position assists students, faculty, and staff with research needs and other issues in the LRC.


  • Ensures quality control and effective execution of the job responsibilities outline for the Career Services Coordinator.
  • Assists graduates in finding training-related employment opportunities.
  • Maintains a minimum 70% placement rate for each program offered by the Campus.
  • Manages self activity and performance in the following areas: develops, sustains and nurtures relationships with employers; provides development training to students/graduates; maintains appropriate and accurate placement records in accordance to ACCSC standards.
  • Delivers, develops and coordinates Learning Resource Center services, software and equipment.
  • Develops, acquires, catalogs, shelves, and maintains the collection.
  • Provides timely and accurate reports in accordance with college, state, federal, and ACCSC standards.
  • Participates in the planning, organization, and facilitation of a minimum of two career fairs per year.
  • Presents Career Services information to members at the Advisory Board meetings.
  • Ensures that Career Services provides appropriate assistance to students looking for non-field related employment while completing their education.
  • Establishes and maintains an electronic database containing student and graduate employment records, as well as, maintaining complete hard-copy records.
  • Interacts effectively with campus staff and students, attends scheduled departmental meetings, and represents the campus in community activities.
  • Makes appropriate recommendations to the Director of Career Services regarding process improvement.
  • Recommends the purchase of Multimedia (audio and video) materials and equipment.
  • Develops and provides Library Instruction for classes including but not limited to library literacy and research strategy.
  • Provides guidance and access to a variety of resources including the Internet, online databases, and traditional print sources.
  • Assists students and instructors with information searches using electronic and print resources.
  • Prepares materials to support the information needs of faculty and students.
  • Maintains complete and accurate attendance and personnel records.
  • Performs/assists with other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Regular and consistent attendance.

KNOWLEDGE AND BACKGROUND: Requires an Associates degree, Bachelors degree is a plus. Three to five years of experience in Career Counseling, Business, Student Services, or management in a culinary environment a plus. The position requires personal computer skills (Microsoft Office, inclusive of Word, Excel, and Outlook). In addition, excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, plus accurate record keeping skills are a must.
