$1,000 EMT class reimbursement for new EMTs.
*Emergency Medical Technician (York, PA)
*Immediate Openings Available - Various Shifts
*Full-time and Part-time
We are currently seeking PA certified EMT's for 12-hour shifts at our York location. Successful candidates will possess a valid Pennsylvania Emergency Medical Technician certification, CPR card, and have a clean driving record. Previous experience, although not required, is a plus.
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is responsible for the emergent and non-emergent care and transportation of patients. They function at the basic life support (BLS) level which includes such skills as: basic patient assessment and vital signs; splinting; CPR; spinal immobilization; oxygen administration. The primary responsibility of a White Rose Ambulance EMT is focused upon the non-emergent transport of patients and assisting with the 9-1-1 call volume as needed. It has been found, however, that many of the "non-emergent" patients truly do need medical attention and are often sicker than those patients encountered on the 9-1-1 side.
Shifts that the EMT may work could be 8, 10, 12 or 13 hours and may include some weekends depending upon the rotation that the EMT is assigned to. Because of the nature of the business it is not uncommon to stay an hour past the end of the shift. Overtime is always available.
All EMTs are encouraged to further themselves in the EMS field. Several opportunities that allow for this include: becoming an EMT on a MICU; becoming a EMT Preceptor; becoming involved in the Quality Management of the company; and many other areas that are too numerous to mention. Paid paramedic tuition assistance program is available.
The successful candidate must be personable and have a good understanding of customer service. Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation. Full-time benefits include 168 hours of paid time off (vacation, personal, sick, holiday), health insurance including prescription plan, Dental, Vision, AFLAC, 401(k).
Qualified applicants may email or call Esther Lehman at 717-848-4740 and press Option 2.
Drug Test required. Equal Opportunity Employer.
